He still hasn’t gotten over 2000.- State Senator Mark Schoesler (R- Ritzville) on State Senator Eric Oemig (D- Kirkland). Oemig proposed awarding Washington's 11 Electoral College votes to the winner of the popular vote nationwide, versus the winner of the popular vote statewide. The proposal passed in the Senate and is on the way to the House for a vote.
