Okay, not really. I lied. That top picture is actually of Echus Chasma on Mars. It was taken by the European Space Agency's Mars Express. It is uncanny how much these spectacular pictures of Mars resemble the canyons of southeast Washington, northeast Oregon and north central Idaho.
Maybe NASA will keep that in mind when they start training for a manned mission to Mars.
