To the Western mind the treatment of women in Islamic society is one of its most horrible aspects: a woman in the most repressive Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia can be treated like a subhuman fit only to cook, clean and produce children; she can be thrown into the street at the whim of her husband in a divorce proceeding where the male simply says, "I Divorce Thee" three times; she cannot own property, vote or even drive a car; she must wear clothing outdoors like the Burka that covers her from head to foot; her life is literally at the mercy of her husband who can kill her at any time for any number of offenses under the Sharia Law.

While the treatment of women in Iran is somewhat better than Saudi Arabia, the females are often the victims of oppression. The video and pictures linked below taken by a heroic Iranian freedom fighter of a women's demonstration in the Islamic Republic is yet more proof of tyranny under a regime that has nothing but contempt for basic civil rights.
