American Nationalism: An Ancient Relic Of Old?

Liberal/Multicultural Nation

by Bucktowndusty

Ah, nationalism. That ancient relic of old. Like dinosaurs and traditional families, it approaches extinction faster than CIA employee Mary McCarthy disclosing national security secrets to the Washington Post. To the liberal multiculturalist, nationalism is a dirty word. Nationalism hints to xenophobia. Xenophobia hints to self-righteous protectionism. Protectionism hints to superiority of America and liberal multiculturalists won't tolerate that lying down.
The biggest nation a liberal multiculturalist recognizes is the individual. So when it comes to national security secrets, they feel no shame in disclosing unfair secrets to the rest of the disenfranchised world. Any person of any nation with any motive should know everything about American advantage, no matter what. Where the conservative sees national security secrets, the liberal multiculturalist sees unfair advantage against the underprivileged individuals of the world. Self guilt and self hate from being American compulse them to show and tell even if showing and telling is a national crime. How can a liberal multiculturalist commit a national crime if they don't recognize nations?
I'm afraid that the only people left in America who believe in the notion of a nation are Minutemen, Tom Tancredo, and the conservative base of the Republican party. And since our own Republican leaders view us as vigilantes, how much time do we have left to enjoy the country we've always known and loved? Somewhere in America, a liberal multiculturalist has written the date down on his calendar and is marking off the days with big X's. Perhaps, before that day arives, I'll ask some American Indians the importance of national security, protectionism, and nationalism.
Comment: A Second Revolution anyone?
